Today I am grateful for some icy, refreshment and delicious Chai Tea.


And it was the last day of my free Starbucks latte's mug. I'm thankful that I had the foresight to purchase that in  December.  It allowed me to have as many latte's or other espresso based beverages for the entire month of January, free. Very well worth the price.

I'm grateful that Willie loves to play toss and fetch with his toys. This is his latest favorite toy.  It is a bear/dog/reindeer - Rebecca named it ReinBear.

In my town, people wait until mid-February for Carl's frozen custard to open up for the season. They are only open February through mid-November. I'm grateful to have memories of going to Carl's as long back into my childhood as I can remember.

Today I am grateful for another snow day off of work so I can make some yummy things in the kitchen.

I made homemade tomato and meat sauce long with "artisan" bread.  Yummy.

Today I am thankful for unexpected time off due to a snow day.
I was able to sleep in, and do things that I wanted.  Crafting was one of them.

This is Doc Brown, a motivational speaker that tells stories of how he grew up and the educators that believed in him.  His story was the greatest bit of entertainment that i have seen in a very long time.

I'm grateful for the excitement in Jonathan's voice and eyes when I tell him I have made his favorite cookies - Chocolate Crinkle cookies

Today I am grateful to have my son, Jonathan, by my side.  I am proud of him and the fun he puts into life while also working hard.

Tonight was Senior Night for his high school swim team.

Everyday I am grateful for the energy and enthusiasm that Willie has for walking in the woods.  I wish I had more time to do it everyday!

Flowers are normally thought to be delicate,  not these pansies. They are planted on the side of the road on Afton Mountain.  I am grateful to live in a temperate environment where pansies grow.

I'm very grateful for freshly fallen snow and the way it makes me stop to look at the wonder of the world around me in a new view.

I'm glad we don't get snow very often, I think I might take it for granted if we did. 

I also am thankful that is gives Willie such great joy to run around like a crazy man.

I am grateful that I am able to accept a personal challenge and apply some social networking skills as well as start a blog about the project, all in a matter of less than an hour, from suggestion to pondering to research to accepting and creating.

To add the #photoaday challenge to the day's picture - the word of the day is goal - my goal is to complete this project. 

I am grateful for the confidence that I can do it and it will make me think and be gracious each day.

Challenge Accepted

I just received an invitation by a friend to participate in the 365 Grateful project this year.  I'm accepting it based on all of the reading that I have done about the project and how it has impacted their lives, I am up for the challenge.  In the past couple of months I have tried to do a photo-a-day challenge where a word or phrase is given and then I would take a photo and post it to Instagram/Twitter/Facebook.  There were months that I did very well, but there were months where I hardly got any photos taken.  I may try to converge both #365Grateful and #PhotoADay by @theidearoom when at all possible.
