I am grateful to have many people in my life that I love. Today, I am especially grateful for the one special someone that I love,  Scott.  My darling husband, soulmate and best friend. In this picture he is cuddling with Willie, showing his love for our dog, Willie.

Day 87 - 3/28/14

Today I am grateful for the many happy fun memories that I was able to provide our children in the past.

In this picture, Rebecca who is now 24, is posing with a bowl of spaghetti-o's where she has spelled out her name.  When she was first learning the letter in her name, many years before this picture, she had trouble finding all the letters.  In this picture, about age 12, she had ho trouble.

Day 86 - 3/27/14

Today I am grateful for the nursing program at the college where I work and the opportunity to be a part of their annual review game that they host to help their students study for their NCLEX tests and board certifications.  There were teams of students that competed answering questions while the rest of the students chimed in with their responses using PollEverywhere.com.

They had decorated the facility with balloons making the otherwise boring place seem much more festive.

Today I am grateful for the sunrise I got to enjoy in my rearview mirror as I headed to Culpeper and the Daniel Technology Center for the Nursing Bowl. The colors that God had painted across the sky make me smile.

Signs of Spring

I am grateful for the every changing seasons in Virginia.  I'm getting tired of the drastic changes, but I am grateful that I can experience them.

Saturday it was in the 70s, today it is 30 and snowing. Craziness.

Even in black and white, I am still grateful for the smiles that Minnie & Mickey put on my face and in my heart bringing back many memories.

I love watching day turn to night  and night turn to day. I am especially grateful for the opportunity to see it happen from the air while traveling from Richmond to Boston to pick up Princess for a week in California a couple of weeks ago.

Today I am grateful for the winter/early spring landscape but the Rappahannock River that shows so much promise for a pleasant spring and summer, and for the time to spend with Scott at the city dock in Fredericksburg enjoying a picnic lunch.

Today I am grateful for the decision that my son had to make, and I am so proud that he ultimately chose to go commit to JMU for his college adventures.

Lucky dogs get to live with families that will take them for car rides so they can smell such awesome things. I'm grateful to have a thankful dog that loves to ride in the car.

This is a picture of the exhaust tip from my son's Mustang. It is a bit too loud for my liking, but he does try to keep it under control.  I am grateful for his passion for cars and his self-control when revving the engine.

This is a sign that we are in the country..... love it!  I am grateful to be in this part of VA where you have to be careful for tractors on some of our roads.

This artist's cell makes me happy. It was a gift from a dear friend after I finished my doctorate. I am grateful for friends that care and for Minnie that makes me smile with her innocence and love of life.

Day 72 - 3/13/14

Today I am grateful for the ability and desire to get back into a better level of fitness.
I have been struggling for a few months getting a grip on my new reality of living with an autoimmune disease and on many medications.  Today I joined the Y and made an appointment with the trainer to made a workout plan for the gym to supplement my walking and group fitness classes I take.

I am grateful for the pretty flowers with which God has covered the Earth. This is a close-up  of some pansies, one of the heartiest flowers I know.

Our Princess Rebecca is far away in Boston.  We miss her but fully support her efforts to be a strong independent girl living and working in her new found home.  Here she is enjoying some St. Paddy's day fun with her boyfriend, Taylor Pierce at the South Boston St. Patrick's Day parade.

This picture was take by Scott from the air when he went for a flight with his brother, Richard.  It is looking down on our neighborhood.

I don't like dirty snow.  I am grateful for the seasons that we experience here in Virginia, but I don't like the remnants of the recent snow storms.

Today I am grateful for the view and the time we shared beside the Pacific Ocean.  Just a short evening of walking on the Newport Pier, admiring the ocean,
dinner at Baja Sharkeez and great company with Rebecca & Scott.

I am grateful for the 21st Century skills that I have so that I am able to work from a distance when needed. This week I am working from the Innovations 2014 Conference, in Anaheim, California.

I am grateful for the fun loving family that I have and for them indulging my love for all things Disney.  Disneyland with Scott and Rebecca.

I am grateful for an adventurous family that likes to try new things and go new places.

Scott, Rebecca, and I made a trip to Disneyland in Anaheim, CA.  I was in town for a conference, we added a day so we could visit Mickey and Friends.
