While I was changing the sheets on the bed, Willie found the blankets at the end of the bed and was basking in their warmth.
Today is Thanksgiving, I am thankful today for time with family and the ability to put a meal on the table. Scott's parents, my mom, Jonathan, Scott and I enjoyed a yummy turkey lunch with all the trimmings.
I've always been a fan of technology, this is not my normal kind though, it is the electrical box and switch that will keep our house running should we lose normal electricity. Scott set up the switch to connect to our new generator. .JPG)
What a treat! Scott and I spent the day at Christmastown at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA. The entire amusement park was filled with billions (yes with a B) of lights for the upcoming holiday season. There were more activities for kids, but we did get to ride the only roller coaster that we hadn't ridden over the summer - Verbolten. It was very intense and I loved it. Scott, not so much. It was dark when we got on the ride, making the view of the park from the coaster very pretty. We enjoyed several mugs of hot chocolate to warm us up throughout the night.
I had the opportunity to learn and play on our tractor this afternoon. It wasn't too hard to learn to drive it. I rode around our entire open property. Willie followed me to be sure I didn't get away or have too much fun without him.
Today's work was all deskwork. I had lots of time working on student registration issues, scheduling issues, course design and textbook issues.
This is the neighbor's Llama watching Willie and I as we walk by. It looks like he is hiding from us.... as if we can't see him. 
These are colorful tangram shape blocks. They remind me of my years teaching Kindergarten. The kids loved to see what kind of designs and creatures they could create with them. 
I wish every day could be this sunny and warm.
One of my weaknesses, Starbucks and their coffee, has created a new flavor for the holiday season this year. Chestnut Praline Latte. It is so, so yummy!
It is beautiful outside, I snapped this picture one evening as I was leaving work. The colors are just so gorgeous.
Willie is such a silly dog at times, one of his favorite ways to lay is upside down. It doesn't matter if he is in his crate, in the yard or in the middle of the floor.
In the past, my Daddy was in the Army before marrying my Mom. He and his brothers spent quite a bit of time in Germany and Turkey, where they bought BMW motorcycles. They have many stories of their times and the trips and the people they met. 
While on campus at Longwood, I was stricken with how clear the reflection was in the window of one building looking at others. 
One of my favorite places to eat when traveling to college towns in Virginia is Macado's and their former "sister" place Spanky's. Today, I was in Farmville for meetings on the main campus of Longwood. I had lunch with a friend from my former days in Fredbg. City Schools & DOE, Anu. The food is consistently yummy and the service was speedy and good. 
The sky seemed painted at sunset tonight. I was on my way home from work and couldn't help but stop for a picture.
The aftermath of Halloween night. Unfortunately, we did not have ANY trick-or-treaters. We live so far into the country now that if you didn't know us, you wouldn't find us. We, therefore, have an entire bag of goodies leftover that I had bought in hopes we would have someone. I'll take them to a meeting that I'm having later in the week.
